If it is technical issues, I need to know. Just drop me an e-mail. If it's something about the format of the board, I also need to know. I might be able to fix it. But if there is just a lack of participation, I may not be able to provide this board. I need at least 2-3 active posters for the board to have value to us. I have not posted much hoping others will but the demand for this board will be determined by the users.

So, if you are thinking of posting but are shy, please don't be. It will save the forum from closing. Also, if you are new, please don't be intimidated by the lack of posting, we are moving from a very active board that used to be public (and was closed due to spam and out of control advertising) so we are having a bit of "lag" as well as trying to learn how to make a member board active. Sometimes it is a deterrent to be "logged in" for some people. There is a function that allows you to stay logged in "forever". This will eliminate the need to log in each time.

Please give me your feedback so I can determine whether there is a desire to have this feature (the forum) on my website. Thank you!

Mo,
Thanks so much for the discussion board.  I do read the posts and I guess the reason I have not posted is really just a time issue.  I have been so busy over the summer and I work 3 jobs!  That is all slowing down for me now and I would like to see this board continue.  I have had Hashis for 3 years now.  It has been an up and down struggle.  The meds have helped with the symptoms, but the weight is still an issue.  I guess you just have to deal with some things in order to have some relief in others.  Having a support group to talk to others about this disease is a good thing and if you continue with the board, I promise to participate more.
Thanks for everything you do...

Hello Deb and thank you for your input. I am thankful you have felt encouragement from this board. I too, benefit greatly by the support. I hope we see a rise in discussion because it can be so valuable to our well-being.

I am currently beginning a new "treatment" for this disease. I will comment on it on a new topic in a couple weeks. I want to make sure I am moving forward with it. Another member that used to be a regular here went through a portion of the same treatment and had some success but I never found out what the final outcome was. Perhaps it was so positive, she went on with her life not looking back at the disease. That would be my hope but it is definitely not wise to get my hopes up that much! All in all, any progress is good for us Hashi sufferers.

Three jobs! You must be so tired! Please be careful about getting your rest and sleep. It is a BIG factor in brain fog. I just figured this out by keeping a journal and monitoring my brain fog with and without good sleep. I am amazed at the coorelation. I want to start a post on this too but I am leaving for a week beginning tomorrow to help my mom in southern California so I will have to put this off for a week.

Please feel free to start new topics. I believe we have enough people here to get this board active and don't worry about it being a long post. We like to keep it short (well, everyone besides me)! Don't be intimidated by my "long-winded" nature of posts!

Take care!
