Hi Everyone,

I don't know if any of you remember from our old list when I posted how I first became ill in 1994.  I couldn't eat because everythig I was eating at the time caused me to have extreme pain in my digestive tract that
would last for hours.  Then my hair starting coming out until I had lost about half of it.  You could literally see my scalp.  I suffered from MCS (mutiple chemical sensitivity) to the point where most stores made me ill.
If I went to a place that sold treated lumber or pesticides in abundance, I would be in bed for 2 or 3 days.
My heart beat would zoom up to over 200 BPM.  I went to several specialist and even the hospital but no one could tell me what was wrong with me.  However....several months before all of this started, a woman had brought a Hallelujah Acres video by George Malkmus to church for us to see.  As a result when everything else failed, I remembered the video so I lived on carrot/apple juice with Barley green added until I could eat a few things.  Within 8 months, all of my hair had grown back and I was feeling better.

I still lean toward this way of healing.  Yesterday I bought 15 lbs of organic carrots to juice.   My
grandson has taken an interest in health so we can hopefully travel togather on a road to health.
After I received this email this morning, I was excited that I had gotten the carrots!!!

If I had stayed on this , maybe I wouldn't have later developed my other problems.  Anyway, I do get
the weekly newsletter from HA and thought you all would be interested in this almost unbelievable testimony.

Hi Edith,

Thank you for the post! I actually got a Champion Juicer for $10.00 the other day! My friend found it at a Thrift store and snagged it for me! It only needs a couple new parts but for under $30.00, I will have it running perfectly. Until now, I've been using the Power Juicer from Jack LaLane. It does a good job. Do you have a preference? What do you use?

Have your serious chemical sensitivities come back since you've stopped eating that way? Are you purely vegan? I haven't yet been convinced meat is all that bad IF it is grass fed and all natural. Some of our friends raise grass fed cattle and chickens, so I have the source available. In fact, I think there is some nutrition in that. However,I have no room to talk until I can claim success with reversing this disease! I tend to think that juicing is one of the most beneficial things you can do for your body. I did it for a while too and my eye sight cleared up so much, I didn't wear my prescription glasses for over a year! It was amazing. But during that time, I was not eating sugar either so I think good health has to have all components like rest, sleep, stress reduction, good diet, sun, etc. That's a tall order for our lifestyle but I believe, with determination, we can find what works for each of us. One of the best things I've done in my life was move to the mountains! The lifestyle is so much slower than my city life. Now I just need to incorporate other aspects of healing.

I'm glad we are getting this board back and hope more will join in.

Thanks again for the encouragment.
