I stopped going for my thyroid appts and taking my thyroid meds last summer. The doctor was not very attentive and the meds and appts were just way too costly for me. I was doing okay but but uncomfortable with myself.  In February, I was encouraged to start an exercise program of my own and to try to eat healthier by a good friend. I am proud to say that I have dropped ten pounds and my clothes are loose. I am actually wearing stuff that I have not worn in years. The best part of it all....I went to my doctor that controls my asthma for my check up and he did blood work. Well the blood work came back very good and my thyroid is working in the excellent range!!! God is good!

I do want to thank everyone here for sharing their experiences and knowledge. I may not have posted, but I did read and sometimes knowing what others have experienced sure does help a lot. It's good to know that you are not alone in a battle.

Cindy,

That is GREAT news! Did you count calories or merely change the foods you consumed?

I am going through a Nourishing Traditions eCourse that has been an awesome addition to my food preparation that I will be sharing with you all soon once the eCourse is released again to the public. Be watching in late June to July. I would love to know what you did to loose weight dietwise and even how much exercise did you shoot for; daily or weekly.

What about your antibody count? Have you also checked that?

Congratulations!

Keep us posted!

By the way Cindy, what does your doctor have you on to control your asthma? Also, were your thyroid antibodies checked too? Were they also negative? That would be really wonderful! If so, you will have to tell us what you did exactly!!!!
